Shedding some light on mental illness:

Mental health means an absence of mental illness. If your mental or emotional state quickly gets worse, or you’re worried about someone, you need to take it seriously. It shouldn’t be taken for granted as it affects our thinking capacity, how we perceive or feel, and act.

Were you aware?

Did you know mental illnesses affect 19% of the adult population, 46% of teenagers and 13% of children each year? People fighting this disease could be in front of you, kith, kin, could work next in your cubicle, or may sit next to you.

Prime concerns:

Sadly speaking, nearly half or below seek mental health treatment. The two broad mental health conditions are mood and anxiety disorders. Good news is that due to mental awareness, campaigns etc. general perception of mental illness has improved.

Fight it:

There are many programs launched to combat mental health sufferings, one of them is Mental Health America (MHA) which has been the leading community since 1909.

Their work is driven by a commitment to promoting mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, they prioritize people over interest groups. The best thing is that their current work is backed by the Before Stage 4 (#B4Stage4) philosophy – that mental health conditions should be treated long before they reach the most critical points in the disease process.

They’ve designed many tests to cure this illness, to name a few, they are the depression test, the youth test, PTSD test, the anxiety test, and so forth. One of the extreme mental illness is suicide and a National Suicide Prevention came into action! They could be reached at 1 (800) 273-8255.

The remedy is within you:

A healthy mind can do wonders, discussing mental health is no shame, it benefits you. Every problem has a solution, you can cure it naturally by being around your loved ones, attend a prime care doctor, nurse practitioner. A good environment with your friends, the family can boost your mind. Prescribed medication to kill it to its root would lead to a healthy mind adjacent to a healthy lifestyle.

Participating in your own care:

Let’s work together. Let’s encourage people to speak about their health. Believe in yourself. Trust your intuitions, be honest with your doctor. Stick to what’s prescribed by the practitioners, never miss your visit.

Stay active, determine priorities, try to adopt a positive attitude and never hesitate to ask questions from your doctor.
